typical nairobians have dismissed the harsh judgment and other than getting chilled when the footage of the prophecy was aired, they have gone back to their ’life as usual’ routines.
the professor of molecular biology turned prophet is however getting audience than any other ‘prophet’ before. the men of the cloth who are used to brushing off such messages are sending clear signals that nairobians need to heed to the professor’s message of repent and perish – apparently there is no ‘or’ in his message. sober evangelicals and pentecostal clergy like my
apparently, his previous prophecies have come to pass. these include the katrina mess in the
he has had audience with the president in the past and with his instructions, last year’s day of national prayer, which was declared a national holiday was held. he has had meetings with top kenyan clergy and warned them of god’s anger in their wayward ways. the top bishops declared several days of communal prayer and fasting culminating in an interdenominational day of prayer at uhuru park. i can remember such invites in church, but no specifics about the exact day the prayers were announced. i did not participate either, i am a skeptical nairobian.
according to the
i have grown in the midst of overly charismatic christians and in my opinion he is one of the most sober prophets i have seen in church. he has done his best to communicate his message to all and sundry in a sober manner despite its oddness. what i have seen as prophets before other than the false ‘end-of-the-world’ ‘prophets, is the incoherent ramblings of ‘spirit-inebriated prophets’ under seizure during a ‘worship’ service in church.
coincidentally and unrelated, it was just the other day as the year started i flipped channels and landed on family tv where a certain college principal turned prophetess was delivering a four-hour judgment prophecy on kenya, a message from the lord. i was patient enough to listen to it for one hour, quite sober, documented though chilling. as a christian who has read the bible severally it was scaring and didn’t wait for it to end.
it is interesting to note that a week earlier, the metrological department had issued a warning to some sections in the rift valley to beware and prepared as they had detected signs of an impending earthquake in the region.
all the same, as a skeptic like many other nairobians, i doubt whether there is much i will input towards the prophecies than just a casual critique of the same. maybe a little bit soul cleanup exercise would help, just in case. the bad part of it is that there is no escape from the judgment, just like jonah told the ninevans ‘nairobians are doomed without recourse’. later jonah was to quarrel jehovah for heeding to the sack cloth repentance of
the proof of a prophecy is time. though the prophet who abandoned his medicine and cancer research career in 2002 to ‘serve the lord’ has not given a timeline, his earlier predictions had come to pass in a span of months, he claims. his soon was a month in the case of katrina. we will know the fallacy or truthfulness of his prophecy in the course of the year in earth below or heaven above, wherever we will be. at least this one is documented.

hmmm, i guess i was also quite skeptical to begin with. but i figured whether this guy is for real or whether he's a hoax,is immaterial.im bila hard facts but if its sin, kenya has got it plenty! and we all know, God and sin don't mix, and consequences can be fatal. yap, quite scary!so yani, we should be repenting anyway and fanyaing those sould checks on the regular.i think this guy has been a good wake up call,at the least.
@mama shady, what you say is correct but the idea of sin has become so relative, einstein will be shocked. as usual with our modern age, do we really listen to god? for a start guys need to be convinced that god can talk like the days of old testament before even thinking of listening.
hmmm, thats the thing, if people are chilling for plagues and whatnot to be convinced...then i feel sorry for them.i mean, even i have had times when im like 'God please for real, just show yourself strong, please, do something big' but then what is faith all about?and how strong would it be? maybe the time for such signs has passed! aki its sad that people are trying to justify their sin even more nowadays.it all comes down to choice...and when it comes to God,people have chosen otherwise...
Dr. Awour at Nakuru
Yes. The prophet was at Nakuru last weekend when the population of Nakuru DOUBLED for two days. It was a MASSIVE meeting at the open side of Afraha Stadium - packed from end to end and overflowing to neighbouring schools.
Estimated 500,000 were there in sackcloth.
The message: It is one minute to midnight. Be prepared for the rapture. Jesus is coming.
My take on the whole thing: Take the prophet seriously, Jesus has said to me over Easter: I am coming.
These are dangerous times. It is a time to reflect on your life and ask yourself, what is the really important stuff in my life. It is not a time to waste or trivialities. It is a time to get near to God (Jehovah).
When Jesus comes back don't be surprised if "Christians" continue going to church and even holding crusades. The Jews did exactly that more than 2,000 years ago. They are still waiting for the messiah.
If you are reading this, you are a favoured person. Tell your neighbour: kaa chonjo, Bwana ako karibu sana sana.
A friend of Jehovah
This situation has left me totally speechless, as I could describe myself as a "backslider". I do believe in prophecies and even when the prophet gave the warnings, I took him seriously.
The only thing is that sinning at times becomes so sweet. It also hapens that when you are about to turn from your wicked ways is when a really tempting situation comes. All I have to tell my fellow Kenyans is to pray to the almighty God who is merciful, He might relent on this horrifying issue and turn away from His anger on us.
This situation confuses even the experts
Let me say this as I may or may not live to say it: I LOVE YOU KENYANS
