Esther Nabaasta Mugizi from Uganda is the winner of Tusker Project Fame II (TPF II).

Despite the poor management and lopsided evictions of the show, the best talent that was in the academy finally won TPF II.

1) Esther - Uganda
2) Wendy - Kenya
3) David - Kenya
4) Victor - Kenya

Esther is entitled to cash prize of Kshs 5 Million. A recording contract with Gallo records. One year beauty therapy with Ashley's beauty college and a medical cover with Resolution health.

The bespectacled 21 year old is currently a student of Makerere University where she is undertaking a degree in Telecommunication Engineering.

The honours are on her to prove that TPF can indeed produce competitive East African talent. TPF being a marketing project by East Africa Breweries, the fact that a Ugandan won is directive of EABL intended market dominance in Uganda.

The first TPF winner was Valerie Kimani who has been criticised for not living up to the expectations of TPF fans. It took her too long to produce an album 'baisikeli' and when it came out the East African market was not considered a fertile ground in the marketing, promotion and availability of the album.

Esther,

Hongera mwana'ngu!! Thank you Esther.

Yes, you did us in Uganda proud. For once, Uganda has reason to celebrate real success, honour and dignity. Right from the word go, you had it and indeed, your time away from the college semester was well spent.

Remember, we want to see more of your success, don't you dare disappear in oblivion. You have a rich world out there, go for it.

@ Anon If you had voted as many times and as passionately as you have commented here perhaps your favourite would have won - its the votes not the country that decides.
Esther was most consistent through out and deserved to win.

I am not an East African but I am married to a Kenyan and watching TPF2 from Addis Ababa. I believe Esther deserve to win the TPF2. For those who have deep appreciation for arts and music one would say that she is indeed cut above all the other candidates.

I don't believe that it has something to do with EABL deciding that a Ugandan should win for business dominance. But of course, the program is an EABL promotion.

Esther, continue to be humble and I believe that you have an opportunity to rise to the ladder of success.

Congratulations to all my Ugandan friends!

esther deserved the win coz she was consistent. the anonymous tz fan above is really misbehaving. why insult people using net? if you wanted your fellow tz to win you shuld have voted. shame on you and your country.

To the anons above,

Esther was the best talent in the academy, she deserved to win
and she won. She won purely because she had more votes than the rest.
A coincidence that she was the best, musically speaking. Unlike the previous
academy where Valerie who had more votes was not necessarily the best talent.

Ian, though curt and harsh was the most honest judge.

Wendy vs Fely...it all boils down to the voting machine behind each contestant.
If you felt Fely was better, you should have done a little more investment by
mobilising votes for him.

Well, the whole show says nothing about which country is the best in music, the
sample was not representative.

I think, other than the lack of enthusiasm in voting, something went wrong during Tz's auditions.
How did Hemedi end up in the academy?
