Maybe I am a conservatist and the kind that abhor change and abrupt change at that. On second thought, I don’t think so. I keep changing houses, jobs, businesses, friends, preferences and all. This could be the character that made me maintain my nursery school handkerchief till class eight. Though it was rarely used especially the last five years, it was such a souvenir, the mental photo of it is still intact. I kept it until our cow called ‘madam’ mistook it for hay on the clothes line one day.
Wisdom dictates that a change is as good as a rest. I have contemplated rejuvenating this blog over and over again until I have maintained it. I started by editing the template, incorporated interesting bits of my album and then didn’t have the guts to upload it. I then moved to word press, wandered there but made no move. I am now analysing ‘who moved my cheese’ to see whether there are new insights I can borrow and apply to my blogging experience.
Wisdom says one has to accept change, if possible initiate changes since the only constant thing in this life is change itself. Whenever life becomes boring and monotonous I initiate changes in my life to create some thrill and love for tomorrow. Simple changes like watching the TV upside down, leaving the door unlocked at night, taking Chinese lessons on the web, sleeping upside down, sleeping on the floor or drafting a resignation letter for the current job and walking with it to the boss’ office (but not handing it over) once a month works wonders.
